Another post for another friend. We are all at an amazing yard that has a TERRIBLE reputation in our area, not sure why or where it comes from, I think it must be from years back, for example you just have to say the name on this forum and people from far and wide start going on about how terrible it is, dont touch with barge pole etc.

The fact is its a fab yard, and now under new management so even more fab than it was before. Amazing facilities, clinics, great liveries, great staff, horse heaven really. Part of me doesnt want it to get 'out' that it is actually fab as it will get busier and busier :) but part of me really wants it to be a success for all concerned.

So aside from screaming 'under new management' on adverts - has anyone got any tips as to how to get 'out there' that this place is fab?

Or should we just keep quiet and enjoy the peace :)

How about an open day, also no harm in letting it be known that it is under new management. Reputations spread, both good and bad, so I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before people catch on!

have no idea of the yard you are talking about - but is it possible to stage a show/fun ride/clinic to attract people ?

If you do a show you could put

"the new management invite you to"
august bank holiday general show.

ontop of the schedules

oh don't our yard gets this, mention it on the hunting field and you get "oh but that yard is awful in winter with knee deep mud", fact is since new management we had very very little mud this winter, I could even go down in jod boots to get her in but this reputation for a muddy yard has stuck. We don't mind as it's such a friendly yard we'd rather be selective about new liveries than have someone who didn't fit it.
