ok so i have never showed a coloured before and i am clueless???

my new boy is a tri coloured 5 yr old. im thinking of getting his bog standard passport overstamped with CHAPS. i have had a look over there website and there is loads of forms and stuff for different things .... memberships, registration, overstapping, HOYS , and other cards???????:confused::confused::confused: confused.com is an under statement lol.

when i get his passport done, should i become a member too? and what else will i need to get from them to start showing him (in hand) do i need all the card things on there? or just one or two? and which ones?:confused::confused::confused:

also WHEN i get to the point of showing him can someone talk me through how the said cards/forms whatever work???? all the ringcraft i know but the paperwork side of things i have no idea!

i bet i sound like a right tool, but never done anything like this before

i have only ever reg with bog standard passports never a specific type of passport and all the other stuff.

HELP PLEASE xxxxxxxx

For in hand showing, you will need to have his passport overstamped and join as a showing member. Request an in hand showing card. You will find that the CHAPS membership secretary is very helpful with either telephone or email enquiries. Take the plunge. It is a whole new world and their Championship Show is excellent. You have to take your showing card into the ring with you and have the judge sign it if you qualify, before you leave the ring. Classes you enter will depend on whether your horse is native or non-native

this is my boy :) so you get an idea fo classes ect xxx thanks again for your help xx

He would be eligible for entry into any of the non-native classes. If you qualify for the Championship Show there are lots of other classes you could enter too eg sportshorse. He'd have to be shown plaited and trimmed. He's a nice sort and you should do well. Good luck!
