I have aquired a lovely gypsy vanner colt. He is approx 10-11 months old and is standing at approx 13hh. I have a couple of questions, one is how do I go about registering him with CHAPS? I had a look at the website but am confused as to whether I need to get him passported by them and pay a vet to do it or do I produce one from my own source and send it to them?????????? The other question is he has bog burnt feathers due to living out on marshy land all winter. He dad has lots of feather so is there any way I can encourage it to grow back quicker/fuller? or because it it bog burnt will it never grow back very well???????????????? Any help appreciated!!
 
the other question I was wondering is, as he is currently standing at 13.2hh, what height do you think he could possibly make. The dad was 14.2hh and im not sure on the mums height, but she is known to throw large foals?
