Just in case anyone is interested, The Farmers Bloodhounds are combining with the Southern Shires Bloodhounds and organising a Charity Bloodhound Hunt Meet in support of Help For Heroes on Thurs 16th Feb.
The Meet will be at 1200 The Dower House, Sarsgrove (OX7 6NZ) near Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds.
For those who might wonder about the ethics of hunting, the quarry for bloodhounds are volunteer cross country runners and the bloodhounds follow the 'natural scent of man (or woman)' not an artificial scent. There will probably be 4 or 5 lines but if you're unsure about how fit your horse is (or yourselves) there will be bound to be people who drop out after the first few lines so someone will be able to lead the way back to the lorry park.
All cap proceeds will go Help for Heroes and additional contributions or donations will be welcome. I'm not sure what the cap for the day will be, but the normal Farmers Bloodhound cap is £50 so it will be about the same.
