I am meant to be going on a 10 mile ride in aid of a cancer charity today.

However, the weather forecast is 'heavy rain' all day. It has just started raining here now, but lightly at the moment.

I think I will wait a bit before deciding whether to go or not - don't have to leave home til 12noon.

If I don't go I will post a donation to the charity, otherwise I would feel mean.

Hope the rain stops - I was looking forward to the ride, and my daughter washed and combed through Manni's thick tail, and pulled his mane for me yesterday so he would be a bit tidier.

Good luck ,i hope you do get to go but i know the forecast is bad.

When we first moved here i did the mcmillan charity ride from Fulbeck Hall.

They allowed us to ride through parkland and places normally not allowed and my memory of it is being pulled round by my horse who insisted on being at the front.

We even got our picture in the Grantham journal.....you just cant rely on british weather can you?

I'm afraid I didn't go. The rain didn't stop til about 12.30 by which time it was too late to get there in time.

I have put a cheque in the post though for the charity so I don't feel too bad.
