Charity sponsored rides/treks

I am really interested in doing a sponsored horse ride for charity... so have been looking into all different companies etc that offer these safari/trek type rides, with the emphasis in South Africa. The problem is i keep coming across companies that are more like businesses and cant seem to find many that just do this type of thing for charity....

So , my question.. has anyone ever done a sponsored ride abroad, if so where and when etc and rough costing ideas.

Ideally i would like to plan one, but ALOT of research needs to be done first to see if it even viable.

I Looked into doing one of these but you have to earn alote of sponsership money but i definetly think it would be worth it!
