Hi i am new to forum but wondered if any one knows anything about the stallion Charlton Checkmate? i am looking to buy a small mare by this stallion and would be grateful for any info or photos.thanks

He used to stand down in Devon I think and had a good name as far as I can remember. Have you tried 'googling' the name?

Charlton Checkmate used to stand at stud in Devon (Shovern, I think) with a lady called Jill Webb. I had my mare at the stud visiting a Tb there in 1993, but saw CC too. Jill had/has a reputation for standing stallions that had actually competed as well as just doing stud duties, so it should be easy enough to check up on him.
