My local event and I had to get up early!!! Left just after 6 and its only 20mins down the road!!!!

Had done day before dressage and walked the course with Ian Stark which was v nice!! Then wanted to just walk it again today and actually bumped into an event rider i used to work for so got a course walk with him too as well as a look at the SJ

Dressage was ok 36.2 but could be so much better so was sort of averagely pleased!!

I was 2nd to go of the whole day today so nice and early before the crowds! He went in and jumped a fabulous clear round, can't really fault him and I'd hardly jumped anythign outside because it was a bit slippy.

Off to go XC, and it was Bill Allen starting, well I love it when its him as you can have a chat and then he just says 10 seconds so no time for nerves. Tog was brilliant, flew round the XC, log, step, skinny at 4, no problem. Through the 1st water no prob, over a fence shared with the advanced to an angled house fine, skinny into water, then out to a skinny no prob, corner - I took the flag off again! Then a double of skinnies no prob either, went round Clear!!!! 2nd double clear in a week - can't really fault my pony at all!!!

Rider went granny speed so we were just out the placings but v pleased with my boy!!

I saw your xc round (infact I have an extremely blurry photo of you on phone

,) I watched you down by the 2nd water & various other fences on that lowest part of the course. I have to say your horse is divine! You looked brilliant together & were well up for it. Well done!

Huge congratulations. Saw you got your first point, you must be delighted.

What a good pony!

Pictures look smashing.

And have to say I LOVE your horse - how have I missed pics of him? ~drools~

Thank you!! I'm so pleased for Maddy winning too thats v exciting!!

BB's its 2 point Tog now such ashame uni was in the way of Punchestown reckon we would have been right on form for that!!!

Oops yes sorry, you went clear last week too lol

HAHA typical! yes uni does have a tendency to get in the way of eventing it seems.

Where too next??

No where!!!

umm seriously nowhere, got finals coming up and grooming at Bramham, got 4yo with her first 2 BYEH and a PAVO so maybe Salperton? Otherwise Eglinton maybe!

Where you going for the BYEH?

I may be going to Ede so will miss MK BYEH and Salperton... argh!

Eglington is MILES away

Well at least youve got out there now, had 4 good runs

and confidence is restored.

Shame really as Tog is def on form now! Exciting stuff about baby pony tho

She used to teach me too!!

I'm just slow!!! I need to learn to kick on but i suppose after breaking foot etc i'm quite cautious now. I'd planned to do 3 in 10 days then give him a break for finals etc so hopefully we'll be able to do some BSJA (like that you win ££!!) and work on the dressage. Eglinton is miles away but we love scotland!!!

Only properly arranged event is Thirlestane so far - my ex boyf was from up there so got to know all the evnets in that part of the world!!

PAVO - she'll got to Stratford Hills and Spring Hill and BYEH she's doing Rutland and Bramham, hoping she qualifies quickly for both so can then go out for the rest of the year!

She came to Chatsworth yesterday and we rode her in the 3* practice arena. Tankers Town was in there and she put her ears back at him and said get out of MY arena!!!! She'll be disappointed when her first event is some field in Essex!!!

What a fab result!! You must be really pleased and the pics are great!! I wish I could have done Chatsworth this year but heyho, can always go next year. What was the course like, ive heard its not exactly easy but I just want to compete there with it being such a big event (i aspired to it since i was little and never thought it possible!)

Well Done again!!

Yes ground was good. They were lucky its very old turf and it had rained. I love the mud and he's really a hunter so wetter the better but i'd say it was just good!

Its a fab event to do, cantering in to the main arena to SJ is great, lots of people and grandstands and marquees/flags is great. Working with all the big names is cool and its a beautifully built big course although this year a lot softer than usual. I'd recommend it. Thats why i dont' know where else to go, i only like big events!!

Welldone hun, Sounds like a fab run, what a good boy

Lovely pics, Kick on next time!! How did Em's go?
Have just entered Barry in his first event - very exciting, june 24th unaff. intro at Stilemans. Think we're aiming for Brightling Park intro 14th July as first BE run.
I'm back up to Brumland today, so leaving him for a month

He had the physio yesterday, and Jen is having him on full livery while I'm away, so hopefully will be all set to get cracking when I'm back!
Goodluck with exams, when are they? Ihave my first one Tues, eeeek!!!!

yay well done S !! v pleased for you
smile.gif
tis about time you two started clocking up those points, Tog is a star !

are you riding your baby now or is Em ?

You both look great - he is so clean! Fantastic getting another point - will you do 1* this year?

Awww thank you everyone!! Yes he'll go to hopefully Blair or Necarne.

I'd wanted to aim for Punchestown but uni was in the way so ashame as he's so ready for it! Had thought Houghton Hall but am never 100% convinced about Musketeer ground prep! So we shall see later in the year.
