I am about to start hacking my new youngster. She has been out a couple of times and has been fab but we have a fair bit of roadwork to get to off-road hacking.

Last time I was out on a friends horse, there was an incident with a bus. I so wish I had a hacking camera!

Can anyone recommend something cheap and cheerful I can use for safety and to record the fun canters and first jumps etc?

Also, do I need to make it known I am recording?

Thanks in advance.

There is no point buying a cheap camera as they will not record fully. I use on a daily basis a Techalogic DC-1 which films from front and rear at the same time. If you go to the Techalogic web site and enter Code PWAS1 you will receive a 7% discount.

I unfortunately was involved in an RTC with one of my horses a couple of months back and asked the same question- see responses in the link below (hopefully works!!)

Thank you. I will have a read. I hope you and your horse are both ok now?
