I have the master clip ones after doing some research on here. They are great coped with my connies yack like coat fine and did a friends TB and left a nice finish on both of them. I got the trimmers with them and they are my favourite as they did my boys legs and his face all on one battery and are so quiet.
I have the masterclip ones, clipped ISH and a shettie in one afternoon and they were great. Oiled and cooled every ten mins or so and they didnt over heat.
They are pretty noisy so depends on how your horse is, neither of mine were bothered.
Fab, I'd been planning on getting the masterclip ones all along as seen good reviews on here, then spotted the huntmaster ones!
Looks like its best to stick with the original plan.
i got some masterclip ones for £90 brand new off ebay and i've done 3 full clips in the last month and blades are still fine, they are great! x i was a bit reluctant but so glad i got them now! x they come ith a years warranty too! x
Masterclip definately.
I have clipped cobs legs, done 2 full clips, a blanket and a chaser.
Gives a nice finish to clip, yes they are noisy but I think they are good. Not let me down yet!
I have a friend who bought the Huntmaster clippers and they stopped working after 8 months, she contacted them and they didn't want to know, they were very rude and said they were out of warranty. Don't know about the Masterclip ones, but I would stear clear of Huntmaster.
I got a set of old Lister Laser (?) clippers off ebay for about seventy quid. They must be about thirty years old. I've had them three years now and have done over half a dozen clips with them and they work just fine. Anything that lasts thirty years will probably go on forever but even if it doesn't, I've certainly got my money's worth. Second hand quality is certainly a good option in my book instead of new and cheap.
Another thumbs up for Masterclips, I bought some 2 years ago and they are going fine. Bog monster has 3 or 4 hunter clips per winter. They've only been used on one horse but I only have one to clip............
I have masterclip ones. Iv had them for a few years and have only used them twice on my Tb, twice on a hairy yak pony and now twice on my ISH. The mastercip blades are rubbish though, mine went blunt after one full clip!! I now use Heinger blades with mine
Just to update on this, I bought these clippers and they are fab, well recommended.
Did 1 full clip, 1 trace and 1 bib in a row and they didn't even get warm, cut through the hair like there was nothing there and didn't make me feel like I'd got rsi afterwards!
Hi I see there are two models Strong 200w air cooled motor and Strong 120w air cooled motor
The price different is not that much. You give a positive review. Can u tell me which one you have?
Thanks
