Need to turn a very very large field into Multiple paddocks. Rented place. So obviously dont want to spend too much. Needs to keep 16h horses in. Any tips?
We used 5 ft electric fence posts, with wooden posts every 30 m or so, and wooden corner posts, once we were sure how we wanted to divide it, ( just used electric fence posts to begin with). This works really well with our TB and ISH, in fact we don't need to bother to run the current through it . (The TB just jumps it if she thinks the grass really is greener on the other side!) But we only have 10 acres to deal with, so basically divided into 4.
Ditto Rex. We're using 5' electric fencing poles. Have blinking good batteries and swap them every week without fail, more often if it's very cold weather. Corners are 3 posts in (a sort of) teepee formation.
