Hello all - what do you all use for your fencing?

I am looking for some cheap ideas.

We have wooden poles up at the moment but am looking for something cheap to run from pole to pole to keep the horse in. Any links would be good.

Cheers.

Cheap fencing does not mean it is good and safe fencing to keep your horse in and protect it. Electric fencing can not be relied upon as if the electric current is disrupted the horses can walk straight through it or even become tangled up in it.

The best and safest fencing is wooden post and rail fencing with Equi-Fencing (a tighter knit than sheep fencing) on it with at least 3 heavy duty rails.

The square wooden posts are put in first, followed by the Equi-Fencing, followed by the heavy duty rails.

Cheap fencing is false economy and dangerous for your horses.

Remember you are responsible for any horses that escape from your land even if it is not your fault. Make sure that your third party public liability insurance cover gives you £10,00,000 (Ten Million Pounds) worth of cover. If not get a policy that does. The BHS Gold membership cover includes this with membership.
