Anthony Evans are cheap for insurance and breakdown. However I wouldn't use them again. First time I needed them I was broken down on the motorway, was stranded on the hard shoulder with a horse on board. I felt very unsafe and I was absolutely terrified for the horse inside and we were told they would be an hour coming. I tried the lorry again after about 15 mins and managed to get it going. I got it to chugg along about 5 mins which got me to the junction and onto a petrol forecourt. I rang to tell them my new location and they said they would have to cancel the 1st call, put a second one in and they would be charging me for the first call out as there was nothing to 'attend'!! Eventually they dropped the costs. Second time I had a puncture, and when I rang them they said they had to take a credit card payment for a new tyre. I said I had a perfectly good spare, and they said its their policy that you buy new tyres off them in case they get there without a spare and you have the wrong sort on board blah blah. I told them to p!ss off in no uncertain terms and they did turn up and put my own spare on. But they seem to like making life awkward. I never had cause to test out their way of dealing with insurance claims but I imagine they'd be much of the same.
