Hi does any one knoe where I can get hold of some cheap ish - ie under 100 boots to use in winter as I cannot ride in my Dubarry's as they are too slouchy now but im trashing my job boots and chaps? All suggestions gratefully recieved!! :D

Can recommend the toggi calgary's. Lived in mine for the last 2 years and they've stood up to a good battering! and comfy to ride in too :) try ebay or rideaway have them.

I've got some Toggi Calgary boots too, they are good but I'm on my second pair now as the zips died and the sole came away on the first pair after 9 months despite me cleaning them religiously :( Plus side is they are really comfy and warm.

Yes i had looked at the toggi ones and others i bought a pair of muckers with long leg <longer ones > they are cheap and brilliant lots of grip and warm and under fourty pounds

I have Toggi Calgarys. Very good riding boots and for yard jobs etc. I don't think they are very warm though especially as we get into winter (I have Ariat Grasmeres for the colder weather) and my zips have also started to break. Wouldn't pay 80 odd quid for them though...I got them brand new from ebay £50!

I'm on my secind pair of Toggi Calgary's, the first had the zip go in them but my lovely local tack shop changed them. Apparrently the first lot were a poor design that they have now changed - the thing to look out for is that there is elastic on both sides of the zip on the newer ones, where as on the old style one side of the zip is atached to elastic and the other side is attached to leather. This puts uneven strain on the zip and causes them to go ( or according to the helpful tackshop lady anyway!).
Second pair are fab; love, love, love them. Will get another pair when these die, but it looks like they'll last a while yet (**runs off to touch some wood**)

I checked today and the newer ones have leather both sides of the zip, not elastic as I said above. Sorry!
