I recently saw a post on the H+H forum regarding cheap Pergolide and asking your vet for a prescription, well one of my fellow liveries neds has cushings and she was finding it hard to pay for the Pergolide from the vets at £90 per time so I told her about the prescription, she is now buying 200 for £9 which she purchases through her local chemist who is more than happy to stock them for her, she is so chuffed and asked that I put a post on the forum for her so she could spread the word for prescription Pergolide.

Oooh thanks for that . I wish I had known about this one when I had my pony with Cushings - I hate to think how much I could have saved. It looks like my friends horse may have Cushings, so I will tell her about it.

Thanks x

Hi - If anyone is struggling to find a supplier either now or in the future then please pm me for details as have checked with my local chemist and they are happy to supply through the post as long as you have an official vets prescription. As a guide my recent prescription for x30 1mg tablets was just under £9.

Excellent, im really pleased that we were all able to help. I was paying 98 pounds for tablets we could get for 19 at the chemist, although sadly i have just had my cushing's pony put to sleep due to liver failure (probably not to do with Cushing's) so im really happy for your friend that they have been able to get them cheaper, it will make a big difference to her.

I was getting tablets abroad for about 3 years now as I also couldn't afford £100 for a months supply. After hearing about this on here from Elliep I have just got my prescription through the post. So thanks Elliep!

It is mad really that the vets charge so much money for the tablets. They also don't give you the infromation either unless asked which I think is a bit naughty.

Spread the word to all who have ponies/horses with cushings.
