I want to get my ponies some snuggly fllece pj's to wear for nights before shows and on colder winter nights.. I've been looking at a few makes on line and I cant decide whether it would be cheaper just to buy a roll of fleece and make it myself or go and buy from them?

I'm quite handy with a sowing machine and could do it as my summer project during my uni summer holidays, any excess fleece I can make into bandages, saddle covers etc and sell on, just cant decide which would be cheaper!!

Anyone else done things like this before?

A little off the point but...Ive also seen haysteamers on ebay - literally they are wallpaper steamers and wheely bins and they are asking £200+ for them!

Make one, the "big" name makes are ridiculously over-priced... If it works out well, you could set up a cottage industry ;)

If you are capable, do it :), is successful them sell them, good luck and if you do take the plunge, picture please :)

I just wish I was clever with a sewing machine, no idea where to start even threading the needle :(

Have a go! I made a fleece travel rug with matching bandages, tail guard & saddle cover for my boy - in leopard print!! You can get some fab patterned fleece these days too :D
