My lovely friend is letting me ride her ID twice a week and during lessons my instructor pointed out his saddle was twisting. The saddle had just been checked and I did mention it to my friend but it is tricky when it isn't your own horse so you can't just change things yourself. Anyway, I swapped to her dressage saddle which is better and have added shims which has helped again.

The current dressage girth is elasticated which my instructor says is not helping and also doesn't suit his forward girth groove.

I'm willing to buy a girth to use as long as it isn't mega money but have no idea what to buy.

Any recommendations for a non-elasticated dressage girth to suit a large (fat) ID with a forward girth groove?

Thanks

Have a look at Dever girths, not expensive and have a gel pad in the centre that goes over the breast bone (sternum)
