Hi all, currently rehabbing following the above injury august last year. Horse has always been barefoot and is 15 this year. Currently upto an hours ridden work a day has recently been scanned and can start small amount of trot.
He is only allowed on firm surfaces and straight lines at the moment so mainly roads and tracks and is stabled at night and on a yard in the day. He’s always been fine without boots but this is prob the most amount of roadwork webe done as usually schooling jumping on a surface also.
He’s fine on tarmac but starting to feel his feet a bit on the stony tracks. I don’t think the weather has helped and his front feet are looking a little with worn!
He’s very thin skinned so always been wary of using boots due to rubs but I think this may be my only option now as will need to increase workload and reluctant to use a surface just yet.
Is hoof armour worth a try?
Thoughts/suggestions welcomed 😊

I’ve heard good things about hoof armour but have to say, if you get a well fitted boot it won’t rub.

I liked my Flex Hoof boots and they didn’t rub once, my mare has white legs and sensitive skin. Speak to Hoof Boutique, you send photos and sizes. Really helpful. 😊

Thanks for your reply. I had cavallo boots for my older horse but the last time I looked into options was 10years ago, there are quite a lot more around now but if a mine field!
Will give hoof boutique a call. Thanks
