Can you get the cheese grate irons in a more traditional look? I've got back hips/knees and find I lose normal irons normally as I need to ride longer than what I like, but if I ride short I struggle to walk the next day, the issue is that I like doing dressage and showing and the chunky Showjumper cheese grate irons don't match the look I need to go for. are there any thinner ones on the market?

I would think you need to look at changing your irons , not the treads. I have a very dodgey left knee which has started to play up since i took on number 2 couple wks back. Ive ordered a pair of sprenger bow balance irons as there is a certain amount of " give" in them which is meant to relieve pressure on human joints.

Cheese grater irons ruin the bottom of your jod boots! But they are good.

I like flexi stirrups best, helped my dodgy knee.

It's the all in one type I mean, iron and treads, but the irons always look too bulky, in need of the more tradition look of standard iron but with a cheese grater tread :)
