Just had another look on horsemart and his ad has been taken off. Do you think that means I have missed out?

It could have been sold, or perhaps removed if there was a complaint made maybe. Was it posted as a private sale, when it could have been a dealer?

The seller is also selling some other horses so I will get the phone number and give them a call tomorrow
