My friend borrowed one for her 16.3hh and found she had to rear unload as it was just too tight for her mare to unload through the front. It was the bog standard model though not the xl model.
 
I love mine. Bought it for my two 14.2's. Now having a 16.3 I agree with Louby. It's a squeeze to get her out through the front.

Luckily she is sensible and doesn't mind getting herself out of a tight space. Otherwise she would have to go out backwards.

We have had to remove the head divider. There is no way she would get out with that in place.
 
I have got the 2003xl ( the bigger one!) and i love it, it tows fantastically, Skye travels great in it ( she used to bang about in my old Ifor williams)
I travelled a friends 17.1 in it ( with my 16hh girl) and there was loads of room for them both and we didnt have a problem unloading out the front. I have got the tack locker bit on the front grooms door and it is the only thing about the trailer i dont like as it is a really tight fit for my tack and pretty useless for anything apart from keeping a few brushes and my wheel lock.
 
I have 2003XL Luxe and love it. Tows smoothly, is quite heavy unlike the lighter-weight models, sturdy and robust. No problems with ramps or unloading from the front - mine is quite spacious so it might depend on model.

I had a concern that it woldn't be very hard-wearing when I got it, but have been proven wrong after the kicking Ron has given his on the odd journey only the only mark to show for it is a scratch on the kicking boards. Turns out he likes to have the back doors closed at the top.

I really love mine, but each to their own!
