Our pony continues to suffer from a dandruff type condition from head to tail and his hair is coming out in clumps and not growing back underneath. We have had him clipped, have treated him with Spot On and I'm waiting for the weather to warm up so I can bath him. A friend who is a veterinary assistant thinks it might be Cheyletiella which is normally diagnosed in cats, dogs and rabbits. Has anyone any experience of this in horses, and if so, what treatment would you suggest? The vet has already cost me £75 and I'm hoping I can treat this myself if the samples my friend have taken come back as positive for this condition.

Many thanks.
