I have looked at his results and he is a seriously good horse but in all the interviews Piggy states that he will stay at 2* level - from his record though he has never gone higher so how come this decision has been made? he wins at AI level and excels at 2* so just wondering if anyone knew how come he has never tried advanced or CIC 3*

Also has Matthew Wright now got the ride on Fox on the Run?

I'm guessing by the feel she gets when XC. You know if your horse has the ability or not to go up the grades even if its winning at its respective level- it may mean that is 100% at its peak

I can understand that but he has never tried an advanced. If he had retired on 1 or 2 could understand it but not to have even tried.

We had a very good 15hh pony. He would jump clear round any novice track but we knew that intermediate would be pushing him. If you look at his BE record you would wonder why he never went intermediate but he was so special we didn't want him to hurt himself. Maybe Piggy and his owners feel the same way.

SOunds like it could be then! I know she was finding him quite tough...

See I can appreciate the difference between Nov and Int but is there really that much of a difference between Adv and a solid Int? If Sj round 1.30 classes he must have some scope. I was just wondering if anyone had heard a definitive reason such as he is pushed all the time xc or he has an aversion to something or that he is not a very confident horse.

Chloe's just finding him quite strong so Matt got him a few days before just to see how he was with him....

You get quite a few horses who are consistent at a level, and although not bad at the next find it too much to do it all the time and i would think thats the case with Chicago.

We had one who was placed and won at CCI** but while he did go round some CIC*** and an advanced he wasn't happy at that level and so why pay £££ to prove nothing and win less money!!
