Can anyone tell me when it is safe to allow chickens back on a bit of land that has been weedkillered? I can keep them away while I do it but eventually would like them to have the run of it. It's proper farmers roundup that I would be using. Thank you.

I let mine back out the next day. My OH assures me it’s safe after soil contact. I’ve not lost one yet. It’s only spot spraying though, not a blanket job.

Thank you Clodagh. So if I kept them off for a week I should be okay? This is a gravely corner with all sorts that need getting rid of. It is spot spray, I've got to be careful because I have shrubs through their big run.

Well don’t quote me but like I said OH (farmer) says it’s fine. It didn’t seem to bother the skylarks and leverets even when dumped en masse.
