Chicks

We have 7 new chicks. Two bantams have brooded them, the eggs are from our big hens. The banties are brilliant mums but make it a hazard to put in fresh food and water as they are so protective. A few nasty pecks, enough to draw blood, bless 'em.

I bought some hatching eggs to put under my broody bantams, the lady I bought them from asked if I had candled them yet so I sent her a picture of the bruises on my hand!!
I'll need a whip and a chair to sort them once they have hatched out!
