The following press release has been issued by the British Horse Society:

"Date: 24 September 2012 - Release: Immediate

Chief Executive leaves British Horse Society

After serving The British Horse Society (BHS) for more than eight years as Chief Executive and Company Secretary, Graham Cory has decided to leave the BHS.

The Society thanks him for his service and wishes him well for the future."

Having been involved with the odd initiative with the BHS, I'd also like to add that he's done a wonderful job and wish him all the best for the future.

That is a huge shame. I have met Graham a few times, and he really was a new broom that swept through the BHS and made some important changes. I suppose eight years in one job is quite a long time. We should thank him hugely for all that he has done.
