Children's Jod Sizes

Hi can anyone advise me on what jodphur size an "average

" 7seven year old would be???

Gosh there's some really lovely pink stuff on these pony websites - you could go a bit mad eh?!

And any recommendations on websites to purchase from?

I'm afraid children's jod sizes tend to be a nightmare! The same size in different makes seems to have huge variations. So I won't buy jods mail order - always get daughter to try them on first to check they fit!

But if in doubt go for bigger rather than smaller - at least that way they can grow into them!

22 Regular?

I find jodhpur sizes really awkward, and tend to buy off ebay because I can ask the vendor exactly what measurements the waist and inside leg are. I bought the child (lanky weed) a pair of lovely dark pink jodhs at Badminton and they fitted for precisely 2 weeks, I still make her wear them but the legs, even with the cuffs down are halfway up her calves. She has to wear chaps over them.

Hmm thinking I might just pop down to the saddlery in that case - I think it may be more trouble than it's worth trying to buy online!!!

22?? You ARE joking? I bought my son a pair of 22 when he was 5 and they wouldnt do up!! And he's a beanpole!
