I have 3 and 4 year old girls who refuse to wear anything other than jodhpurs or pretty dresses. Divas that they are!

They go through the jodhpurs so quickly - they all seem to go through at the crotch! And because I am useless at mending they are walking around with the wind blowing up their nether regions. So I need to buy lots more jodhpurs, maybe 3 more pairs each. But I don't want to spend £17.99 a pair! I just want a multipack of jods for £15 or £20 or something. I've googled and gone through ebay but can't find anything.

Anyone have a good source for good value kids jods? Or can recommend the toughest brands which don't wear through in a couple of months?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, that's mostly how I've been getting their jodhpurs (which might explain why they're wearing out so quickly!) - hand me downs, ebay or second hand rails. Really I just wanted to go to ebay, hit "buy now" on a multipack of 3 and be done with it! It's so tedious bidding on lots of second hand ones and having to wait til the auction is up then getting some and not getting others.

I probably need to be less impatient and just spend 20 minutes on ebay.

Thanks diet2ride, I'll have a look at that site.

Have you tried robinsons, their jodhs are normally cheap but tough. I've no experience of their childrens ones but have had the ladies ones and they've lasted well for £15 a pair.

My nephew has second hand ebay jodhs and has a gorgeous pair of equitechs and some harry halls, both just boring beige/cream though, show jodhs come up more becuase they don't get worn out.

Try your local tack shops, some have secondhand kit, and try a notice on the board at a few equestrian centres asking whether anyone has any outgrown childrens riding clothes that they would sell (or give away in return for a donation to the charity of their choice). There are probably lots of people with outgrown jodhs with no one to hand them down to, that they either can't be bothered to list on ebay or don't think it would be worth listing due to condition or not being a "good" make.

Robinsons do Newcomer Junior jodhpurs at £16 which seem quite durable. Alternatively, couldn't you use leggings and tell them they're jodhpurs??

Slightly Foxed! What a find! £7.99, pink with flowers AND a reinforced crotch! I am off to buy 6 pairs right now. Thank you so much.

Tried the leggings idea 8). "Do we look stupid" said the looks on their faces! The three year old does diva particularly well, and flounced round the house in her pants wailing "jompurs, jompurs" for half an hour :D
