looking for a bit of advise on my guys hoofs, I have noticed the last month they seem to be chipping, he isn't shod and isn't in any discomfort. Does this happen to your horses? and what can be done to combat it. I'm not sure what supplements and products I could look into? hoof oil? hardener? supplements?
At present the only feed he is having in Grass, Hay, over the last week I have introduced a hand full of fast fiber with some magnesium.
Any tips and advice would be great :)

Yes, mine are barefoot and their hooves chip when they get too long. The answer = more road work or more frequent trimming. Some owners like to have a radius rasp (or similar) to use between farrier/trimmer visits.

+1 on the radius rasp. I use it on my fella if he gets a chip between trims. It only seems to happen if I let them get too long though.

I get it here with some of the herd when the ground gets really hard and dry. Not just when they are long as they all get trimmed regularly and I've had chips happen within days of a trim. It's just hard ground and where rutted, can chip a bit away. I don't worry about it too much but I do use Kevin Bacon on them all when it's this dry for this long and that does help a lot. I also do rasp in between trims just to keep any chips under control.
