I have a ten month old that ever since I had him have been VERY headshy, even to the extent that having him on a leadroap is very problematic.
The vet have not had any ideas of why this might be but after having a woman out vorking with his behavior problems she said it is most likly to be becoz of pain from beeing haltertrained.
She thinks that a Chiropractic is needed to put things right.
Have anyone got any experience from the same problem?

it could of been beaten thats onething. yes like you said could be in pain some where on face/poll or even ear mites try vet and ostepath!

Yes. Our appaloosa mare became 'not quite right' gradually. We got our vet, who does chiropractic and acupuncture, to look at her. He did two sessions and later we got a different saddle. We don't know what started the problem but it seemed to be made worse by using a halter. She had problems at the poll and strange muscle development down her neck and into her shoulder. Following the treatment the mare was much better very quickly.

Definately good to get someone out. I've had horses that go from dropping their heads into the bridle to being headshy overnight after pulling back.

My youngsters get six monthly chiropractic care as being babies they do dumb things in the paddock and I want them to grow into healthy pain free adults.
