Ha ha NEVER been an issue for me- he's lucky if he gets to share my polos- he is NOT sharing my chocolate!!

Chocolate contains a banned substance in competition horses, so should not be fed if a chance of testing taking place.
 
Lady I used to ride with used to lean forward in the saddle in canter and feed WHOLE mars Bars to her ned, a strapping big gipsy cob that she worshipped. Didn't do him any harm. An occasional nibble probably won't hurt, but I wouldn't include it my ned's diet as it were. Mine, yes...ned's NO.

, he loves buttery toasted tea cakes we get at the tea rooms when I ride him to Darley Park, he also luuuurrrrrrrvvvvvvvssss chocolate, I only let him a small amount ie 2 fingers of a kitkat or couple sqaures of Cadbury snack, he does rather have a whole tea cake though as he eats faster than me when sharing
