Chloe has a sweet iron loose ring that she, especially when out and about, chomps and fiddles with. Is this because of the sweet iron? I'm heading towards getting her a fulmer snaffle because we need extra steering out xc and fast hacking, and I want to keep things simple bitwise for her - don't need the big pelham I just bought! So, would it be worth getting a normal metal one, or shall I stick to the sweet iron!? It's just it makes the contact a bit less consistant so she can't work through her back properly for longer than about 10 seconds. (She's just starting to have a crack at it

) Also it gets a tad annoying with all the chomping etc...

Thanks for any suggestions!

Yep its because of the sweet iron. They are designed to encourage salivation and mouthing.. Try a loose ring french link as has plenty of movement but not to much chomping
