Lots! The exact amount will vary between practices and patients depending on how many chondroids there are, how much sedation is required, how tricky they are to remove etc. (Aka can you flush them out because they're small or do you have to go in and out with the scope and basket a million times fishing out each individual chondroid? Which is really tricky) so yes, it won't be cheap. There's also the biosecurity concerns - ie. Isolation for the horse, PPE for vet and nurse, disinfectant for kit etc.

However, without doing it the horse will always be potentially infectious so unfortunately just needs doing.

My horse has had this done twice its very expensive and horrible we think he now has nerve damage because of it as well😔
