Hiya!
Sorry ive been bombarding this forum with three thousand and one feeding questions of recent. Im trying to get all 3 of my neds on well thought out, proper diets to suit them all. And i think im almost there! Just a few more questions.

Can anyone suggest a chop that contains as little molassses as possible?

Also, Just bought an 18 yr old TB mare whos in foal. Shes not due til next april so not feeding for two just yet. Shes currently on a scoop of Baileys Every day High fibre nuts as shes currently in no work, with a bit of chaff and sugar beet, with Codlivine joint supplement.
But exactly how much Chaff and sugar beet do you think i should give with this? Shes at a good weight currently, its just maintaining it as our field is rubbish. Shes getting ad lib haylage with this too.

Replies appreciated

we've just started using pegasus chaff on our liveries. not sure if it's new or not but only just in my area. no mollasses, smelly nice and garlicy, quite light and fluffy and REALLY cheap.

Id rather go for something a little cheaper than alfa A as ive got 3 to feed and a bag would only last me around a week, if that.
I found a chop by Mollichaff called High Fibre Alfalfa which would suit my youngster as its got alfalfa in it which ive been advised to give him as theres plenty of protein in it. Its also unmolassessed which would suit my chubby native pony whos prone to weight gain.
Think it'd be ok?
