Im looking at making a change from shavings this year due to a number of reasons and our supplier has bedding from this company which looks quite interesting....

Both the raveira (chopped straw) and the cavianthus (elephant grass) are the same price so Im a bit stumped as to which one to go for? Any thoughts? Will be for a fairly wet mucky mare if that makes any difference. Thankyou!

I'm using miscanthus for the first time this year and so far very pleased with it. Went for that over straw as one pony will eat straw. We're using it for 2 ponies who have plenty of room but it seems very absorbant.

Elephant is quite good tho' bliss is better (rape seed straw). Bliss is very absorbent and very good against smells. I have used Bliss and deep littered for 6 month at a time. When cleaning out no nasty ammonia smells.
