Chopping Straw

I am thinking of chopping straw for bedding for one of my horses who is the most terrible box walker. At least if the bedding is cheaper it makes the task of digging it out every morning a bit more acceptable!

I know you can get straw choppers with engines on eBay but does anyone know if there is a manufacturer out there doing these new as I cannot seem to find one and all the secondhand ones are either miles away or look very ropey.

Also, has anyone used a garden wood chipper/shredder successfully to chop straw.

Try teagle, I think they still make a small bale motorised one.
