I know there was a recent post about Chorley riding schools, but I can't find it when I search. I've recently moved to Chorley and am having no luck finding a share horse, so I was considering going to a RS in the meantime until I can find someone who needs a sharer.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm not the bravest rider, and very average indeed- I've been riding a long time but only ever been a happy hacker. The thought of schooling fills me with trepidation! I've been to various RS's in the past, and not all of them were good experiences. My lack of riding confidence means I totally crumple under pressure from instructors- as soon as they get shouty I get all wimpy and useless, and it turns into a horrible experience (for the instructor too I imagine!).

So I really want to find a RS where they're sympathetic to my wimpy tendencies. I've obviously searched google, but was wondering if anyone had any experiences at any RS's in the Chorley area.

Thankyou!

Thankyou for the replies. Eccleston was one of the ones I'd looked at, but it's in the opposite direction to work so wasn't sure.

Has anyone been to Chorley Equestrian centre? What are they like there?

I used to have my old horse on working livery at Chorley Equestrian, although this is some years ago now. I learnt to ride there and always found them very professional and good horses. Its still the original people there from I started riding over 20 years ago!

What you looking for share wise?

I'm after something very sensible I can mostly hack about on. My last share horse was brilliant- we mostly hacked but I also got the chance to do an in-hand show and even took her to a farm ride and tackled a couple of teeny xc jumps, which was amazing. I'm not that brave so I like confidence-giving horses! I'm about 5'6" but I've never really got the knack of big beasts, so ideally something between about 14.2 and 15.2... but obviously I'm trying not to be too fussy!

Do you know of anyone looking for a sharer in the area?
