Thought I would share this...
Just been chatting to my instructor, who schools my dearly beloved for 2 half hour sessions a week. We both experience her "oh do I have to" reply when asking her to put a little more effort into her movements, and she does grudgingly give after making you sweat. Any way..discussed what feed she was having...Dengie good doer, cos unlike me she puts on weight looking at food, a 50ml NAF scoop of DH pasture mix (for a bit of interrest in her food), and cortaflex. She also gets a ration of 6lb of hay soaked for 20 mins. Anyway, was wondering why when I give her slightly more pasture mix after a hard session, she turns into a pot smoking hippy...turns out DH Pasture mix contains magnesium, so the more she gets the more dopey she gets.
I'm going to try Badminton Working mix, in the same measure, does anyone have any other suggestions? I do really have to watch the weight issue as she has the neck of a stallion and the muscles with it. Should I mix an ALFA A oil in with her Good-dooer...I hate changing her feed regime as it can take months to get weight gain off her, but we do need to behave less like the hippy faction of cool man just done a 20m circle...sweet, when we go to dressage comps. Even if I do end up splitting my sides with laughter when she tries to picnic at FWLR on grass.
