Seeing as it's Flower's first Christmas, I thought it would be cute to try and get some photos similar to the ones I got of my boys three years ago. Those were as easy as pie to take, and I ended up with multiple festive snaps where both horses were posing beautifully for the camera.
This time around I was a lot less prepared. With no antlers or tinsel to hand, I found some deer ears from a fancy dress party earlier in the year and thought they would do just fine. Boy, was I wrong! I ended up looking like I had a herd of four-eared horses, ones who were far more interested in having a ball with their new toy than they were in posing. I had Tudor pulling Flower's ears off every two seconds, Flower making it clear that she would really rather be eating the grass, and Mary and Six looking on in bewilderment, wondering why their human insists on doing such ridiculous things to them. With the light fading from the word go, this was about the best snap we got!
Merry Christmas all, from me and four exceptionally fluffy ponies (they would have included a family picture, but all of the hair makes them look like they've eaten one mince pie too many, so they thought it was best not to)!
