The usual what do you want for christmas questions have come up. So this year I've been blunt and asked for stuff I want for my boy. I know I will get so much more pleasure from that than anything else.

Is anyone doing the same?
What have you asked for?

No 1 on my list = sabre eton bridle
No 2 = rambo exercise sheet in charcoal whitney style - lush!!!

i do it every year for xmas and bday :)
i've asked for:
- new xc colours
- dressage saddle pad for every day use x 2
- jumping cut saddle pad for every day use x 1 (already have one i like!)
- some new everyday light weight SSG gloves as mine finally died :(
- some mark todd winter gloves

and i've been given some money by MIL to get myself some pikeur show breeches :)

thats about it :)

Yep, show bridle for pony for next year. In fact I bought it on behalf of Santa at HOYS then handed it over so it can be wrapped up and delivered on xmas morning! I even attached an old snaffle bit I don't use so it actually looked a bit more like a bridle for Santa (as santa isn't horsey at all!)! :D

Of course, I always do :) this year I want -

Newmarket exercise sheet
Sealskinz gloves

... haven't thought of anything else yet, but I did get a new bridle for my birthday.

Yep, always. Last year i didnt have a horse and wasnt really riding and people found it really hard to buy for me!
This year ive asked for money to go towards a new bridle and im thinking of buying a Mark Todd coolex as a prezzy to myself.
I have on previous years had my BSJA membership paid for me as a birthday/xmas prezzy, who said horses come first?! :D

I hinted to my sister yesterday it would be nice to get something from YHL but she didn't offer :p

I think she is a bit dispondent as she bought me a very expensive pair of jods last christmas and they all frayed so had to go back

No one else would even have a clue, not even if I pointed it out:(

If our veterinary surgery did gift vouchers, I could use some of those...as it is, I'm dropping hints about a bigger container for my grooming kit, as the handle broke on mine and I keep forgetting, pulling it off the top shelf and getting showered with brushes.

Every other year (with exception of last year), I have BUT I have been told that this year I am not allowed to request anything for ponies. Gutting, as new pony could do with a new wardrobe.
May just tell everyone I need money instead and then can get what they require.

Don't see the point to getting something for me as can't think of anything and have already been told NO to horse books.

I always like Christmas presents to be a surprise and don't think I have ever asked and as a family we have always done "small" Christmas presents rather than big gifts. Even as a child I don't think I ever knew what I was going to get. If I was asking it would be shed loads of vouchers for Waterstones!

Have asked for something really silly. A set of rhythem beads for my mare I just think they are fun.(sorry always have had a problem with the R word):)

Santa brings a stocking each year with my years supply of horsey shampoo, mane and tail spray, plaiting bands, sponges, tack cleaning gear, etc then I have asked for matching s.cloth and bandage sets and larger things as gifts. Hubby spoils me rotten at xmas so might chance my arm and ask for a new skull cap and show breeches :D

mum has got my boy his heavy turnout for xmas :D (its to him not me but will use it before if needed) as he came with nothing and I have got him everything else and she is getting him a likit aswell :) dont know what I'm getting but I got new show stuff for my birthday

OOOhhhh.........a 5 point breastplate........everyday saddlecloths (a few).......a new nuu med half pad.........my BE memberships paying...........black body protector (don't like navy anymore I'm fickle I know).........new crash cap.........hmmmmm could go on but I'll be lucky if I get a hairnet! OH has banned presents for the horse! Scandal! Surely a new BP and a hat isn't technically for the horse?! I'll see if I can win on technicality!
x

I have asked for a neue schule bit and some boots for x-country. Consequently at the insistance of my mother that I get something for myself, I've just been through the musto and joules websites for new riding clothes!

It's actually my birthday before Christmas and I have asked for magnetic boots for my arthritic boy. And as it's a prezzie, I have asked for a really expensive pair! :D

Simple - just point out that this is important safety equipment for your benefit, not the horse's ;)
