Any one have one?

Friend of a friend is looking at them as a option for her horse, as well as AH or Ideal or Black Country.

She quite likes the look of them.

I had a look at them when I was looking, Sam is lovely to deal with and was very helpful about a second hand one I was looking at. However, I think if I had the budget for any of those 3 I'd probably look at andrea hicks as a cob and native specialist first, they're more expensive but better quality

The cob I dressage has just had one, have to say it is by far the most comfiest and best fitted to cob we’ve ever had. The quality seems far superior to the price for a new saddle. Def recommend for the chunkier breed.

I have one and really rate it. Sam's got a good eye for fitting, and will tell you if her saddles won't suit your horse. I wasn't sure about mine (I was moving from a sheepskin bareback pad to a treed saddle, and the total different feel was throwing me off) and Sam was happy to leave the saddle with me on trial for six weeks so I could really test it out.

They aren't highest-quality, hand-made-with-exquisite-care, royal-warrant-type saddles, but they're definitely worth what Sam charges. They're also surprisingly light for a leather saddle, and seem to hold their value well.

I wouldn't have one

They come from the Silhouette workshop and they are all wonky

I also see a lot for sale second hand/almost new which makes me think they don't that well or weren't that well made to start with

An Ideal H&C or Andrea Hicks will be far, far superior in both materials, cut and fit and not be that much more money...in fact you could probably get a second hand one for less than £600 and have it shaped to fit

The trouble with Andrea Hicks is that, depending on where you are, your local fitter can be impossible to get hold of. I spent six months trying to get hold of my local fitter, leaving voice messages, texts, asking people who knew her, etc., and always making it plain that I wanted to buy a brand new saddle. I got absolutely zilch.

I have one and I love it, so comfy and fits my boy perfectly.

Sam is lovely to deal with, knows her stuff and puts the horse first.

HQ did try to deal with this more than once, we're a bit in limbo for coverage up north, if anyone has a fitter they'd recommend that would be interested in working with a specialist brand let HQ know. Otherwise can only apologise, I know how frustrating it has been. We have high hopes of having better coverage in parts of northern England soon.

I sold mine for exactly this reason

Sounds like I dodged a bullet as I was considering one for my Cob. I have Black Country Classic for showing now, and a Harry Dabbs IB for everyday, both lovely saddles but probably more ££ than the Silhouette/CM saddles. (Thanks to those on here who tipped me off ;) )
