CIC*

OK I get the gist of CCI* but have never done a CIC*. Might have a bash at a couple this year. I seem to remember some people from here doing Gatcombe last year so was hoping someone could fill me in please:

1. Height/speed - was guessing same max heights as N but maybe more technical and longer XC? SJ same max height?

2. Do horses need a FEI passport and 6 monthly flu vaccs?

3. Are they most often over 2 days?

4. Is it XC before SJ?

5. Is there a trot up etc. and at what point?

6. Is it a top hat and tails party (yay!)?

Don't know all the answers

1. 1.15 SJing so same max height but most fences will be at it, same height XC but longer and more technical.
2. No FEI passport reuired suspect they might need 6 monthly flu but not sure
3. Due to numbers often over 2 days but can be all on same day
4. Can be either
5. Vet will check horse before comp starts which will include it trotting out.
6. Can wear top hat and taiols but don't have to.

Brill thanks. I may use one as a stepping stone to a CCI* now I don't have to do an Int or N2D (don't mind XC but dreading Int SJ).

I could be wrong, as i've not looked at this years calender yet.. but i think there is only one, Gatcombe?!?! so you can only do a couple if you travel the seas for it

I can help you out on the vaccines bit.
you need to vaccinate your horse every 6 months if you want to compete, or at least every year if you are not competing in FEI competition.
