Was wondering whether people think it makes sense or not? I have been thinking about giving my girl cider apple vinegar to help joint and muscles what do people think of it? I find that she can be a bit stiff (she also has a history of azoturia though and gets EPSM kind of diet as a result) so thinking to support her better is it a good idea? Would prefer to give something natural than to go onto joint supplements as she has not been diagnosed with anything, just a precaution. Your thoughts most welcome.

I took my girl off her joint supplement and replaced it with apple cider vinegar, to try and save some money, but I'm going back onto the supplement as she is looking a bit more pottery. But she already had an arthritic condition so I was probably stupid to think I could economise.

ACV may be a good supplement to start on in conditions that aren't advanced as I have heard some good reports about it.

thanks, as I mentioned no condition has been diagnosed and it is not massive stiffness just a hint and also she is on EPSM diet as she has a history of tying up which may also be why she can be stiff at times but have read that cider apple vinegar contains a few goodies which could aid or be of benefit anyway rather than taking a full on supplement at this stage

I thought apple cider vinger was more for condition, my 5 year old show jumper had it and he looks fab, but not sure it will do a great deal for joints. Cant beat good old fashioned Cod Liver Oil for stiff joins and condition if you ask me!

Won't do any harm. Think PieFrill feeds PF Cidre Vinegar, so might be worth giving her a PM.

Yep, I do. Someone (I think it was marius_mum (Ebeneezer now??) posted a link to a wonderful website extolling the many virtues of apple cider vinegar.
I feed it as a preventative measure as it IS reputed to be excellent for joints.
Will have a look to see if I've saved the site amongst my favourites

I use it on my Horses, Dogs & myself!! It is really good internally & externally. Alot of people with arthritis are using AVC & swear by it. Also it supplies vitamins, minerals & amino acids. Make sure if you get it to get the unfiltered & unpastuised stuff. Looks like it is cloudy & full of cobwebs!! That is all the good bits!!

Found this one link about it.
This is the stuff I use
