Cider Vinegar

cazzah -eeek! I didn't know that. I thought it was for helping to prevent the calcification of joints. Mine does not have any problems gaining weight!!!

There are some interesting articles on cider vinegar. Some say it stimulates the digestive system, therefore good for colic. Improves coat condition and skin conditions, also read it calms a nervous horse and eases aches and pains in older horses. sounds like great stuff!

It's good for horses and humans, and..........
it helps cats who eat too much seafood and get cystitis, it changes the PH of urine and breaks down the "sand."

And I've recently been told it helps labs with benign tumors, so my Lab is now getting it daily.

My vet says a tablespoon a day is enough for a horse, but I give a little more on grain.

I feed it for joints and skin. It also is reputed to help keep the flies away (like garlic). FB and Ari have both oil and cider vinegar on their feed - in fact a friend once asked me why I was putting salad dressing in their buckets!

Its good for humans too. I take a desertspoon in water first thing in the morning to help lower my cholesterol. I haven't noticed it affecting my arthritis.

Do they like it? I actually looked at it at the feed store today. I had a quick smell and thought yuk.Well, just kinda like normal vineagar actually. It is quite cheap too, so def worth giving it a go.
