Going to the Hunt Ball in June at the kennels. Have been to the winter one a few times but believe the dress code is slightly less formal. I know it's still dj's for men but how about us ladies? Is it more long evening dress or cocktail dress or can I go the whole hog and buy the most beautiful ball gown I have seen. Please please please say I can dress up without looking like I have to be home by midnight. Thank you :D

Your reply made me laugh, which with this weather I really needed. Only trouble is my friend has told me, and i quote "if you turn up looking like bloody cinderella you will have to sit at another table". Shall I take the risk?

You cant really look overdressed when the men are in djs can you?? Even if you are slightly, people will admire how lovely you look, rather than chuckling that you are over dressed.......I had the same dilema at a wedding (I ask you....who has a black tie wedding???) last year. Went all out for a beautiful dress, was slightly overdressed, but felt fab!!

Have fun!

Given the weather I feel I did well to make you laugh :) I would take the risk, as Maisy says with the boys all dressed in dj's you won't really look that over dressed no matter what you were. Plus it's all about feeling fab and a new dress (with new shoes and a new hand bag, maybe get the nails done and a little trip to the hair dresser too! Who has a budget for these things anyway?!) will always make you feel fab!
