Claim to Fame!!

I used to be so concerned about my horses splints but now I think that I may be in the Guiness book of records for the owner of a horse with the biggest splints in the world. Common guys, how big are your horses splints, any pictures welcome. My horse's has got to be half the size of a tennis ball. WOW!! He has never been trotted on hard ground, always truned out in boots and basically wrapped in cotton wool, how could I be so unlucky!!

That's strange, my YO's horse has a HUGE splint (probably 1/3 of a tennis ball size) on one leg and he is never ever trotted on the road, and mostly works in a rubber covered arena! My horse has matching thumb-sized splints.

My horse has a massive splint - it's no mystery though as he fractured it at Christmas

I'm hoping it will go down with time.....

My old horse had one that was half a golf ball in diameter, but stuck out wider than that. Got it walking on an indoor school surface (!).
