Well...we are definately not out of the dark. Clancy is still severly under weight and low on energy but we think the steroids might be kicking in a little. The past 2 or 3 days, Clancy has been eating a little more vigorously. The vets have told us that the steroids are not a cure but will prolong the disease. She actually ran to the gate last night when we went out to bring her into the stall. She normally just stays at the opposite end of the pasture and we have to go get her. Her spirits were up this morning when I went out for the morning chores. Hope this will all work out ok!!!

This is heartening to hear that she feels more like her old self again. We have a recent rescue case here who has been diagnosed with severe liver damage who was very poor indeed when she arrived. Lots of tlc, correct diet, as natural an environment as possible, and above all ... being surrounded by positive attitudes has changed this horses prognosis.

Even the smallest improvement in Clancy's wellbeing is a sign that you are doing something right. We are all here for you and keeping our fingers and toes crossed.
