I've just bought my first horse and moved him to his new home this week. Very exciting but lots of trepidation. He is settling in really well after 4 days and today had my first half hour in the ménage. I've noticed he is clanking shoes together when out in the paddock but it didn't happen when I rode him. I can't work out which feet are hitting which. Are over reach boots a good idea or do they sit too high to help anyway? The previous owner said he never lost shoes so he is not prone to that but it's such a clanking sound it makes me cringe when I hear it.

Its called Forging, no harm in trying Over reach boots but might be that his feet are a bit long and needs shoeing
