I have been nosing at these and need a good/reputable pair of boots for XC..

These are (to me) a tad expensive touching £65 for only one pair of fronts - £130 for a full set and i wondered if they are worth this money or whether they are highly priced because of the name?

Im looking for boots that cover the majority of the legs like the clarendon XC ones rather than just Tendon/Fetlock types.

Thanks all.

Are they fleece lined? if so, I wouldn't like them for xc. My friend had them and they hold the water, get heavy then slip. They are also not the best for heating up tendons.

Yes they are and i never even thought about that!
Thankyou- that has ruled them out for me.. now just need to find some other ones!

I have the fleece lined ones and personally love them to bits, they just need shampooing and rinsing after each use to keep the fleece nice and clean and fleecy. I rarely use them though - only for outings so I'm not bothered with the washing part.
Nice boots - Love them! :D

Also - Regarding the water part I have never had this happen to me? Mine don't hold water like this even when riding in the river but they are warm - must admit! Nice winter boots for the cold dry days :)
