Being relatively new to things horsey, I’ve recently observed that there seems to be some class divisions between the different disciplines, but is it really the case. It seems to go something like this:

Eventing Upper Class
Dressage Middle Class
Show Jumping Working Class

What d’ya reckon?

So, if you take into consideration (and we all know it's true) that hunting is for Toffs only, does it mean that hunters that showjump are mixing with the masses or that showjumpers that hunt aim above their station?

how very dare you! :D

*coughs into hand and mumbles* aiming above their station :D

So I need to explain to my horse that thanks to him I have had to reduce my social standing as he has decided to be a horse that will NOT jump fixed fences - or rather slows down suspiciously and then carefully showjumps each one..Coloured fences on the other hand are attacked with glee..

On the other hand, if as planned we go hunting...would I be considered to have retrieved my former status?

Starts looking at HQ for Irish pone who will event...!

Possible...
Wouldn't it be sensible to have a transitional step though and mix with the penguins.. ehem, dressage people for a bit?

You know what they say though, that working class people and upper class people generally have more in common.

So I think skip out the middle penguin bit.
